Denver Web Host will install and perform the initial configuration of your online store. This includes configuring the server, setting the store for secure order taking and other basic configuration tasks. This page should help you take it from there.

Accessing your store
Accessing your store is a simple matter of going to http://www.yourdomain.com/store. This will automatically load the store's main page.

Your user name & password
Your user name and password for administering your account are the same as those for the primary account (the one we sent you when you signed up). When logging into the store manager, you will actually be prompted for your user name and password twice. Use the same user name and password for both places.

Accessing the store manager
Managing your store is accomplished over a secure connection to our server. You can access it by pointing your browser to:
https://webhq.biz/~username/store/protected/manager.cgi
Substitute your primary account user name in the spot that says "username." You MUST leave the tilde (~) in place.

Using your store before your domain name is setup / transferred
Often times your account is established before your domain name is registered or transferred. You can still administer, test and view your store by directing your browser to:

Changing the store name & slogan
By default Denver Web Host sets your store name the same as your domain name. You can modify this by logging into the manager system and clicking on the link at the top that says, "Edit Headers & Footers."
Simply edit the fields that say, " Store Title or Name: " and " Store Slogan or "Catch Phrase": " and click Submit at the bottom of the page.

Changing the colors of your store
You can modify this by logging into the manager system and clicking on the link at the top that says, "Edit Headers & Footers."
Simply modify the appropriate fields as neccessary.

Changing the main page, product page and cart contents display
You can modify this by logging into the manager system and clicking on the link at the top that says, "Store Layout."

Setting Payment Options
You can modify your payment options by clicking on the "Payment Gateway" link in the store manager. From here you can select which credit cards to accept, whether to accept checks and purchase orders, and what types of shipping you use.

Setting the email address to receive order notifications
An email will be sent to you every time someone places an order. As such, it is essential that you ensure this email address is current and active. By default, Denver Web Host sets this to sales@yourdomain.com. If you would like to change it, from the store manager, click on Program Settings then the button that says, "Main AgoraCart Store Settings." A little ways down the page you will see a place to specify the email address. You can also tell the program to send to a secondary address as a backup.

Adding Products
Start by clicking on the "Product Add" link at the top of the store manager. From here, complete the information for your product as required.
The category box is used to define the general categories within your store - i.e. shirts, pants, shoes, etc. When entering your products, you will want to make sure the category field for each product indicates the proper category in which you want the product to appear.
Click "Add Product" when you are finished.

Editing & Deleting Products
Editing and deleting products you have entered is a simple matter of clicking the appropriate link at the top of the page and following the prompts.

Modifying Shipping Settings
Setting up shipping is accomplished from the store manager by clicking on Program Settings and then the Shipping Settings button. You can add a set handling fee and / or customize what you want to charge for shipping from here.

Placing a test order
We highly recommend you test your store extensively before making it "live" to your customers. Be sure to check that the receipt has the information you want your customer to receive, the email you receive has the appropriate information, the shopping cart works as it should, etc.
AgoraCart does perform a rough validation on the credit card number that is input on the order form. For testing purposes, you can choose Visa and a credit card number of 4111 1111 1111 1111 with any expiration date. This will pass the validation checks. |
